Sparsholt's Norman Edwards Ground set to host one of the opening Winchester Club Championship matches against Alton this Saturday.
The opening round of matches in the Winchester Clubs Championship are being played on Saturday, with ten sides competing in two separate pools.
Hampshire League Division 1 clubs Compton & Chandler’s Ford, Easton & Martyr Worthy, Hursley Park and Longparish feature strongly in Pool A, but will face stiff opposition from IBM Hursley, who have been climbing the county pyramid in recent seasons.
There will be nine rounds of 40-overs per side matches through until September 12.

Pool A: Compton & Chandler’s Ford v Easton & Martyr Worthy, Hursley Park v Longparish, IBM Hursley v Fair Oak II, RAM v St Cross Symondians III, Sparsholt II v Alton II.
Pool B: Alton III v Sparsholt III, Easton & Martyr Worthy II v Compton & Chandler’s Ford II, Fair Oak III v IBM Hursley II, Longparish II v Hursley Park II, St Cross Symondians IV v Twyford.
