Burridge staged a remarkable post-lunch recovery from 87-7 to bat themselves into a winning position and eventually beat faltering ECB Southern Premier Division rivals St Cross Symondians by 34 runs.
Left-hander Jamie Richards, pictured, led the fight-back as Burridge rallied to post 188 and then, through four-wicket pair Ryan Stevenson (4-28) and Geoff Dods (4-48), bowl St Cross out for 154 in front of their own disappointed Green Jackets Ground followers.
Jack Bransgrove (2-42) struck two early blows, but it was Chichester University student James Marsh (4-20) whose eight-over pre-lunch spell, which accounted for opener Dan Hewitt (32), who excelled most in the  damp, bowler friendly conditions.
He removed Lee Savident, Ben Fitchet and Hampshire’s Ryan Stevenson to give Burridge at 87-7, a serious bout of lunchtime indigestion.
But the tide turned dramatically after the break, with former Liphook & Ripsley captain Richards (49), pictured left, and Rick Ankers (21) adding 79 and, after the pair had both been dismissed at 160, Dan Stancliffe clouting a brisk 22.
An elbow injury to New Zealander George Worker handicapped St Cross, who flew out of the traps with Tom Foyle cracking a six and four boundaries in a rapid 24.
Former Hampshire Adam Rouse was in a rush too – he answered a late call from Kent to replace Sam Billings (v Glamorgan) and biffed 48, including a six and six fours, before speeding off to Cardiff.
St Cross promptly lost four wickets for 20 runs upon Rouse’s departure – all four to Geoff Dods (4-48) – and sank from 85-2 to 105-6 before Stevenson (4-28) carved his way through the lower order to leave the Winchester side 154 all out.
