A personal best 239 not out against Basingstoke & North Hants III in August helped Longparish opener Will de Cani finish the season with 792 runs and win the Hampshire League County Division 2 batting award. The 20-year old trainee town planner is only the second Longparish cricketer, alongside the long since retired Dennis Luff, to hit double century. With de Cani, pictured, available all summer and several promising youngsters beginning to blossom, LP could be among the CD2 challengers this season.
